• Why This Is Being Done: To encourage families to come out with their kids on Wednesday nights and giving them a break from preparing a meal for their family so that they can grow in their relationship with Jesus. 

• What It Is: Preparing dinners for kids and families  

• When It Takes Place: Wednesday nights from 5-8 PM during the school year 

• Needed Task: Help with food preparation and serving  

• Needed Task: Clean up

• When It Takes Place: Wednesday nights from 7-8:45 PM during the school year 

• Needed Task: Encouraging kids, sharing your faith, helping students with projects and teamwork

• Needed Task:  All adults working with kids are required to fill out a background check form

• Why This Is Being Done: To encourage families to come out with families and attend service on Sunday mornings so that they can grow in their relationship with Jesus. 

• What It Is: Teaching or assisting teachers of kids

• When It Takes Place: Sunday mornings from 9:30 am - 12:15 pm about 1 time per month 

• Needed Task: Encouraging kids, sharing your faith, helping students with projects and teamwork

• Needed Task:  All adults working with kids are required to fill out a background check form

• Why This Is Being Done: to encourage grieving families during a time of loss 

• What it Is: Preparing meals for 20-150 people. 

• When It Takes Place: On an as needed basis 

• Needed Task: Table prep (silverware, napkins, salt/pepper, etc.) [2-hour commitment] 

• Needed Task: Serving food [2-hour commitment]; 

• Needed Task: Clean up [2-hour commitment]

• Why This Is Being Done: to show care & love for people after a hospital stay 

• What It Is: Getting meals to people in a potentially difficult time 

• Needed Tasks: Deliver a meal to a family. You prepare a meal, buy & give a gift card from a restaurant, or pick up and drop off a meal from a restaurant. You choose. 

• Needed Task: Coordinate with the office in regard to delivery time, address, name, etc. [time amount varies] 

• Who To Contact: Call the Office

• Why This Is Being Done: to lighten the load of event planners by taking care of physical tasks 

• What It Is: Setting up tables, chairs, & equipment for various events 

• Needed Tasks: Ability to lift items with some weight to them 

• Needed Tasks: Physical labor 

• When It Takes Place: various times and dates as needed [2-3 hours depending on event]

• Why This Is Being Done: to keep our building in the best shape possible to enable ministry to happen effectively 

• What It Is: Indoor preventative maintenance (change filters, light bulbs, paint, etc.) & outside beautification (Landscape, lawn care, flowers, etc. )

• When It Takes Place: when you are available coordinated with the Trustees

• Needed Tasks: Skilled labor (automotive, painting, electrician, plumbing, woodwork, etc.) 

• Who To Contact: Chris Reynolds

• Why This Is Being Done: to allow paid office staff to focus on new tasks related to guest retention 

• What It Is: folding programs, preparing mailings, processing mail, etc. 

• When It Takes Place: 3 hours per week, anytime Monday to Friday between 9am and 3pm 

• Who To Contact: Dawn Wolf or Jill Gehrke

• Why This Is Being Done: to enhance our weekly worship service to effectively reach more people 

• What It Is: running the digital sound board, running the visual slides, running stage lighting, producing the live stream video 

• When It Takes Place: Mostly on Sunday mornings from 8:45a-9:45am, and then at 11am. 

• Who To Contact: Eric Scholtens 

Time Commitment: 4-6 Hours A Week

• From home or from the church office

• ● Follow-up with visitors who provide contact information, using the steps outlined in "From First Time Guests to Engaged Members"
• Update guest status on planning center with “notes” indicating where they are in the follow-up process
• Send and answer messages from visitors in Outlook and Gloo, using reply templates as needed

• You don’t like technology (texting, email, planning center, etc.)
• You’re a “big-picture” person, but not detail-oriented
• You have trouble with reading comprehension or following steps in order

• People stay at churches for a variety reasons: they like the preaching, they like what’s offered for kids, they like the music, etc. But the best research shows that everyone who stays at a church has the same two things in common: 1) they came back for a second visit because of the friendliness of they experienced the first time; 2) they formed 7 new relationships in the first 6 months. One word sums up both of those things—hospitality. The Gospels means that God moved heaven and earth to build a relationship with us. We want to do the same for others! • Two Regular Time Slots Available, plus Special Events: 

• Sunday Morning: 3 hours (9:30 AM-12:30 PM) 

• Wednesday Night: 3 hours (6:00-9:00 PM) 

• Special Events: 1-2 hours (times announced in advance) 

• Answering texts and emails as needed What’s Expected: Build Relationships! 

• Greet visitors, answer questions, get to know them, and introduce them to others

• Take good mental notes (remember names and faces, have they been here before, etc.) 

•  Encourage them to fill out connection cards

• You don’t like dealing with people

• You have trouble remembering names and faces

• You tend to judge others by their appearance
